Multi-Sonic Sensor

G224 Multi-Sonic Grade Sensor Mini-Line TF-Technologies

More functionality

The G224 Multi-Sonic Sensor is an upgrade to the standard Mini-Line® Grade and Slope Control System using the single G221 Ultrasonic Grade Sensor. It offers advanced functionality, which makes it an attractive upgrade to a standard grade control setup, as well as an averaging beam setup.

Increased smoothness

The G224 sensor is equipped with four ultrasonic sensor heads and uses advanced averaging technology for increased smoothness. The sensor calculates an average of all four measurements and excludes any significant deviations from the average calculation.

That way, the sensor can even out small irregularities on the surface, as opposed to the single G221 Ultrasonic Grade Sensor

that produces an exact copy of the reference. By excluding large deviations it is also able to ignore faulty measurements resulting from e.g.  a small stone or a foot in the sensor’s line of sight.

Stringline optimized

By pressing the mode button and turning the G224 Multi-Sonic Sensor 90 degrees, the sensor becomes optimized for stringline sensing.

In this position, the sensor does not perform any averaging, but the four sensor heads provides a large sensing span, making it easier to stay in position over a string. The G224 now automatically uses the measurement from the sensor positioned directly above the string, and LED indicators show if the sensor is starting to lose sight of the target.
